Wisdom from Dogs

My resident black lab, Shadow, has a brood of doggie friends.  Henderson, a BIG yellow lab, and Shadow are always on the same page:  If it smells good eat it, if it runs chase it.  Meike, a catahoula bred to hunt wild boars, is high energy, agile and smart.  We humans could learn some important life lessons from these three.

Life is full of dark clouds, so grab every moment of sunshine you can.

Always take time for breakfast.

Remember to get out for a brisk walk each day.  If you can walk with a friend, so much the better.

Play well with others.

Don’t worry about looking foolish.  If you love something, who cares who’s watching?

Learn to relax.  Completely.

Regular bowel movements are soooo important!

    • Oh, yeah. Dogs don’t go around worrying so much they forget the important stuff!

  2. Total good fun. I believe that dogs have personal “stagers” who arrange them just for photo ops. And wise reflection, of course.

  3. We can absolutely learn things from our pets, dogs in particular. Your post was, as always, a joy to read and see. Hope we get to lay eyes on you one of these days.
